Calendar of Events
Registration is required. Call 717-964-3808 to register no later than 24 hours before an event or e-mail the park at governordick@hotmail.com and leave your name and phone number. All programs are free unless stated otherwise, payment for programs can be made the day of the program.
The Environmental Center is open Wednesday through Saturday 8:00 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.
March
Basic Boating Course
Sat. March 1st 9 a.m. -5 p.m.

Bluegrass Jam
Sun March 2nd 1-4 p.m.
Bluegrass jam in the environmental center! (may be canceled in the event of snow or ice)
Fitness Hike
Sun March 9th 10 a.m.
A faster paced 4-6 mile hike to get in shape!
First Day of Spring
Thurs. March 20th 10 a.m.
Let's hike to celebrate the first day of Spring! We will hike about 5 miles.
Invasive Species
Sat. March 22nd 10 a.m.
What are they? How can I find them? What do I do about them? We will be walking around the park trails to learn about invasive plant species.
Pond Scoop for Kids
Sat. March 29th 12 p.m.
Let's see what pond dwellers we can find and learn about! We will be meeting at the Monument Parking lot.
Bird Walk
Sun. March 30th 1 p.m.
Brandon Pentz will be leading us on a hike to search for and learn about birds. Bring your own binoculars or borrow a pair from the park.
Golden Eagle Hikers
Sun. March 30th 1:30 p.m.
A slower paced 2-3 mile hike for those aged 50 and over.

Wildflower Walk
Sat. April 5th 10 a.m.
A short walk to learn about local wildflowers!
Bluegrass Jam
Sun. April 6th 1-4 p.m.
Bluegrass jam in the environmental center! Pickers welcome!
2025 MEETING NOTICE of the BOARD OF DIRECTORS of Clarence Schock Memorial Park at Governor Dick
The Board of Directors of the Clarence Schock Memorial Park at Governor Dick will meet on the below listed dates. Meetings are open to the public and are held at the Governor Dick Environmental Center, 3283 Pinch Road, Mt. Gretna, PA. Meetings begin at 7:15 p.m.
If State or Federal COVID 19 meeting restrictions are in place or there is inclement weather on the date of a meeting, the meeting will be held in virtual format utilizing ZOOM, tele-conferencing or other social media platforms. Members of the public desiring access to virtual meetings should email: Governordick@hotmail.com for a connection link.
